Thursday’s workshop – a huge success

We’d like to thank all the fantastic FIG Seeds that attended our first workshop last Thursday (28th January) at eOffice in Soho. Shortlisted from 170 complete business proposals submitted during our Winter Funding Drive since November 2009, 12 great Seeds attended. They took turns to introduced their business ideas to the group, listened to a presentation by FIG outlining the Investor Event on the 8th February before breaking for pizza and refreshments - a chance for FIG Seeds to mingle amongst themselves and talk to the FIG team. They then broke into teams to go over their presentation framework with FIG team members to fine-tune what they would be presenting on the 8th Feb.
At the end of the afternoon, they had a chance to show of their presenting skills with a practice presentation to the group.
We had great feedback from all of those that attended what can only be described as a very successful day at eOffice.

This week sees the sad departure of Drew Crofton who moves back to the states to start a new career at Kelton Research in Los Angeles. He was a great addition to our team and will be sadly missed by everybody at FIG.
